Meet The Episcopal Cursillo Ministry Committee

We, the Episcopal Cursillo Ministry Committee, support and resource Episcopal Cursillo Communities by inspiring both traditional Cursillo expressions and new ideas for the Cursillo Ministry. We believe that Cursillo is at its best when we are open, energetic, intergenerational, and responsive to our local setting.

Organization

The Episcopal Cursillo Ministry Committee (ECMC) includes two elected District Representatives from five geographical districts, as well as five at-large
Representatives and a bishop liaison appointed by the Presiding Bishop. The committee is organized with a Leadership Committee and four subcommittees –
Leadership, Leadership Workshop, Communications, Publications, and Finance. The Leadership Committee includes the President, President-Elect, Vice President,
Secretary, and Treasurer, and non-voting appointed advisors. The president appoints
members of the ECMC to the other three committees.

Functions

The Episcopal Cursillo Ministry Committee offers the following:

Vision for the future and continuity with the past
Leadership and fiscal accountability
Promotion of the Cursillo Ministry
Connection between the Cursillo movement, Episcopal dioceses, and the
Episcopal Church
A place to discuss problems and solutions to challenges encountered by Cursillo
communities
Supplies, updated material, and a written collection of best practices
Training through ECLW and national conferences
Communication through the Cursillo website and “News and Notes.”
Grants to support the Cursillo mission in dioceses.
