How does our Cursillo Weekend receive "Wall" Palanca from other dioceses?
- Make sure Your Event is registered on the Events page.
- Make sure your Secretariat’s Palanca Angel emails correct contact information to ECMC’s communication team.
- Invite your Secretariat’s Palanca Angel to send email reminders to every Palanca Angel listed on the bottom of the Events page.
How can our diocese revive our Cursillo community?

How can I form or strengthen my Group Reunion?
The ECM Group Reunion publication goes into great detail about methods, intent and practical tips for this. It is also found on the Documents for Downloading page.
How do I identify and contact my District Representative?
- Determine your ECM District by reviewing the map on the Meet the Leadership page. For example, the Diocese of North Carolina is in the ECM Southeast District.
- Once the District is identified, scroll to see the District Reps associated with that district. In this case, there are two representatives. Click on the “envelope” icon to open an email to each representative.
- Reach out and get connected!
How can I become part of the ECM Committee?
- Contact the ECMC District Representative for your District (see instructions in the question above).
- Email your Representative and ask about roles, positions, and duties.
- Or contact the ECMC Vice President. Contact information can be found on the Meet the Leadership page.
- District Representatives are elected at the annual General Council meeting.
What support can the Episcopal Cursillo Ministry Committee (ECMC) provide to Secretariats for online meetings?
The ECM Committee maintains a Zoom software “Pro” license. It is also available to loan to local Secretariats for specific events. To access this support, email the ECMC and describe the event needing online support.
How can we better prepare Sponsors?
Note: Some diocesan Cursillo ministries use the word “Pilgrim,” while others use the word “Candidate.”
- The Value of Sponsors: Sponsors play a vital role in helping create a joyful Cursillo Weekend and supporting new Cursillistas to continue seamlessly into the Fourth Day. In fact, someone once said we should not focus on recruiting Pilgrims but on nurturing Sponsors. Sponsoring a person to Cursillo isn’t only about the person, but also about his/her ministry and desire to discover his/her talents and potential for serving God.
- Sponsor Guidelines/Responsibilities: Consider creating a specific diocesan resource to outline responsibilities. See ECM’s collection of suggestions for this resource. Sponsor Guidelines/Responsibilities
- Engage Sponsors Before the Weekend: When registrations are received, communicate directly with Sponsors and send guidelines, commitment to prayer and reach out to see how the Sponsor can be supported.
- Sponsor Orientation/Training: Access the ECM Sponsorship Slides from our 2023 Conference. Consider having virtual “dialogues” for Sponsors on a specific weekend. Think about creating a simple, short, homemade video by someone familiar with your local ministry.

Where can our Ultreya buy songbooks?
If your Cursillo community is looking for a ready-to-use collection of Cursillo-friendly music, consider the Alleluia III songbook produced by Alabama Episcopal Cursillo. One of its key benefits is that, when used as your primary music resource, there is no need to obtain separate copyright licensing through CCLI or One License.
A Spotify playlist featuring many of the songs included in Alleluia III is also available.As far as we know, Alabama is the only diocese currently offering a songbook for purchase specifically designed for Cursillo communities.
